Happy Halloween!

This year Gabi was a ladybug. She really enjoyed saying trick or treat and loved getting and eating candy. Her favorites are smarties and the big tootsie pop suckers. Happy Halloween!

Happy Gabi....

The other day we were at the park for a birthday party. As Gabi was playing and having fun she said to me "Mama, I'm soooo happy!!" So cute! She loves to sing the Happy Birthday song and blow out candles! If it's your birthday watch out she might wanna steal the show. :)

She has also been having happy dreams lately. She woke up from a nap and announced "Fun night night!" We can only assume she had happy dreams. :)

I'm grateful for....

My husband and conference weekend.

I was the last of our family to have the flu. Dear hubby took care of me and luckily I didn't have anywhere to go because it was conference weekend! Didn't get to watch much but thankfully we have the internet to catch up on it! LOL

Grateful Sunday

Grateful Sunday is an idea I have read about on several blogs and each named it something different. I love this idea and while I have tried doing a grateful journal/thought book it never really worked out. I think once a week will be much better!

* I have wonderful siblings who are wise beyond their years at times. Even though the age gaps between me and them are large (5, 11, 15) I am excited as they get older and our "differences" become less and less.

* I was pulled out of church several times today because our daughter wasn't behaving. I was upset because I couldn't fulfill my church duties but then I was grateful that even have a little one.

The other day Gabi made her first joke.
Hi Dada...No MOMMA! then she laughs and does the joke reversed to Dada too.

My favorite things...

It has been a while since I did this post but one of my favorite things is little girls with cute hair! Gabi recently started letting me do "pretty hair" on her. We make a little production out of it. She sits on the sink in the mirror while I do her hair. When her hair is done she looks at herself in the mirror and says "Oooh pretty" and then gives her self a kiss in the mirror. :)

Right now it is pretty basic either a full ponytail or if she sits a little while longer I will do half up and half down. So cute!

The other day she went to a birthday party and when she woke up from her nap I told her it was time to go to the birthday party. She looked at me and asked "pretty hair?" How could I resist! LOL.

Gabi's first trip to the beach was Coco beach in Florida. I always thought her first trip would be to the Pacific but I guess she got lucky! :)

She loved the beach and wandered further and further in! She wanted to go body surfing with the best of em'!

Nick and Lindsey get married!

Many happy years to come for this couple! We had fun in FL, it was hot and humid but the food and fun made up for it! ;) Hopefully once I can get to edit some more pics I will have some more up here but for now this will have to suffice!

Mama is so funny...

Last week Gabi put together her first full sentence using third-person
syntax! At the dinner table she first laughed, and then said "Mama is
soooo funny!" We all had a good laugh together.

Then, a few days later she ate several crayons. She had been alone in
the basement "coloring" while I was preparing dinner, and when she
came up to meet Jack after work she had bits of crayon all over her
face.

She finished a whole sky blue and part of a forest green. We're
pretty sure it was only these two colors because the next day we were
treated to the evidence at the other end. When Gabi looked down at
the old diaper as we changed it she yelled out "Hey, there's colors in
there!" Now every time she has a messy diaper she asks to see the
colors...even though there haven't been any more...yet.
